Initially founded in 1967 by Robert S. Borders AIA, the firm was established with a broad-based approach to design, which enabled the company to assist clients in different industries. Many years later, this core approach to servicing clients across various market sectors remains true.

With Second-Generation Leadership the firm evolved into Borders Architects but continues the founding core principles and values of broad-based design practice across various market sectors including Workplace, Civic, Lifestyle, Community, Education, Recreation, and other Specialty types of projects. 

Based in Orange County, California, Borders Architects has worked with clients throughout Southern California as well as other parts of the State.

With a fundamental emphasis on architecture, space planning, and interior design, the firm continues to collaborate with many long-term partners and new clients by providing Value-Based expertise in a dynamic and ever-evolving economic business climate.
